Dunia Industri terus berkembang dan pemanfaatan mesin cerdas membutuhkan Sumber Daya Manusia yang mampu merancang, memproduksi, mengendalikan, dan memeliharanya. Program Studi Teknik Mesin FT Unpas mempunyai misi menyiapkan SDM yang mampu berperan di bidang Perancangan (desain engineer), Praktisi Industri (plant engineer, field engineer, maintenance engineer), dan Wirausahawan (technopreuner).
Lulusan Teknik Mesin berpeluang menempati posisi strategis di berbagai industri manufaktur, pembangkitan energi, perusahaan minyak dan gas, otomotif, lembaga riset, Lembaga pendidikan tinggi, jasa konsultasi, desain, dan rekayasa konstruksi mesin.
Universitas Pasundan menyelenggarakan Program Studi Teknik Mesin dengan akreditasi A BAN-PT untuk mencetak sumber daya yang mampu berkiprah di bidang manufaktur, desain & bangun produk, konstruksi dan perancangan, hingga konversi energi.
